Aveley Community Hubbs a support communities and help people stay independent.

They are a base for local activities and events, helping residents to:

  • get support and advice
  • find information
  • make applications online

The Hub is a great resource for the community to use, as well supporting local priorities including health and well-being.

The Hub includes a library service, computers, a coffee and snack bar, hall and meeting rooms. The Hub will offer information and advice, activities, support groups and much more. It will be a place where people can pop in for a cup of tea, or get help with getting online and completing online forms.

Aveley Community Hub is a great asset for the community. However, it is essential that the community let us know the type of activities they would like to see and use. These could range from support groups, training, job clubs, social groups and more.

There will be opportunities for people to volunteer which can be a great way to meet new people, share your skills and give back to the local community. Roles can include meeting and greeting, supporting people with forms, providing IT assistance and dealing with a broad range of enquiries. Volunteers can also be on hand to signpost residents and to listen to what the community needs.

Visit the Hub and let us know what you would like to see and how you would like to get involved!
